Hot Water Services

Peter can solve all your hot water problems, including:

  • Hot water that is discoloured
  • Leaking hot water systems
  • Running out of hot water

Peter’s first objective is to service your existing hot water system wherever possible, to minimise your costs. However, if a new hot water system is required, Peter can install any brand of hot water system, including:

  • Rinnai
  • Rheem
  • Bosch
  • Dux
  • Aquamax
  • Everhot

Peter can install a hot water heater that you supply, or supply and fit a hot water system of your choice. Peter can discuss the benefits of different hot water systems to ensure you receive the best hot water system for you and your family’s needs.

Tempering Valves and Thermostatic Mixing Valves

Scalds from hot tap water can be catastrophic for any person, however the consequences can be even greater for young children, elderly people, and people with disabilities. You can reduce the risk of hot water scalds in your home by installing a tempering valve or thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) at your hot water heater.

Tempering valves and TMVs ensure that hot water is at a maximum of 50 degrees celcius when it leaves the tap. The temperature restriction can be applied to the whole home, or to only specific sections of the home, as per Australian Standards.

Australian Standards state that all new hot water systems that are not a straight swap of old for new, must be fitted with a temperature limiting device. Peter will be able to discuss all the options with you to ensure your home is compliant with the Australian Standards safety regulations.
